Righteous Fire FAQ
160 questions
How can I sustain RF and what level do I switch?
120% Fire Resistance + Fire Mastery ( Regenerate 1 life per 1 uncapped fire resist ) Check pob for more info
Why Frostblink over Flamedash?
Most of this comes down to preference. However there are some advantages to running frost blink. You can instantly break out of Vine Snare & It's fantastic for curse on hit since it has a much larger AoE than flame dash. Just be careful not to level it
Which Map mods should I avoid?
- - Maximum Elemental Resistance (You can run it but it's dangerous on any build)
- Less Recovery (This is fine in white tier maps but yellow/red = no)
- No Regeneration (Never Run This)
- Reduced effect of non curse Auras (Never Run This)
- Area has Consecrated Ground (I skip this mod only for guardians because 6% Life regen per second on a guardian is nuts)
- Monsters gain % Life as ES (I skip this mod only for Guardians because of the insane HP Scaling + Phases)
- Monsters deal extra damage as chaos. Make sure you have good chaos res if running this map mod
- Reduced Armour & Block Chance (Fine to run until you go block based)
Jugg (additional mods to avoid)
- Monsters steal your endurance charges
Chieftain (additional mods to avoid)
- Monsters have 70% Chance to avoid elemental ailments.
- Monsters steal your endurance charges (only after you anoint for Endurance Charges
You can build a map Regex Here --->
Why am I dying to Ele/Phys Reflect?
De-Level your Frost Blink. Make sure to use a level 1 Frostblink to avoid dying to Elemental Reflect maps.
Also if you're using Dawn Breaker, you might die to phys reflect if not running determ. This fixes later when you go Shaper Shield Block
How to use Ramako Sun's Light on Chieftain? Stationary?
When you're tanky enough to go face on bosses you don't have to worry too much about standing still.
In general when you throw a fire trap you're standing still, you can also dance on bosses by just using frostblink to avoid the hits while staying still.
As long as Frostblink hit the boss it will gain massive cooldown recovery.
Why use Legacy of Fury?
In 3.17 They buffed the boots to scorch in an AoE which is kind of like a Blasphemy Flammability. And it also has a chance to create a burn on kill that deals extremely potent damage which helps kill off Rare Monsters. Also Massively increases your clear & Boss Damage.
Chieftain does not use these boots because of his Ascendancy "Ramako, Sun's Light"
This makes it so we can't scale - Resist so scorch doesn't help us. However on the flip side monsters can't go above -20 fire resistance.
How are you ailment immune?
Purity of Elements gives Full Ailment Immunity. This Includes: Chill, Freeze, Shock, Ignite, Brittle, Sap & Scorch. Although I usually swap this later.
- My RF Variants will run "Brine King Pantheon" For early Freeze immunity, this is usually when I drop Purity of Elements.
- Inquisitor Will run Tempest Shield for shock Immunity later. This also helps spell block cap.
- Jugg/Chief you can either use Tempest Shield or go with Reduced effect of shock on Flask suffix or Ring.
- Chieftain can also run Annihilation Approach boots which Provide Freeze + Chill Immunity freeing up Panthon.
- Elementalist - Purity of Elements into Brine King Panthon + Tempest Shield.
How are you Curse Immune?
Consecrated Ground Grants 50% Reduced Curse effect. This comes online via Rational Doctrine or Sulphur Flask
Combo this with the suffix on Flasks for Reduced effect of curses during flask effect
last option would be jewels
Flask Setup IMPORTANT
Flask Setup
The standard flask setup is going to be
- Ruby (if at 90% max res swap ruby for Quartz/Sulhpur)
- Quicksilver
- Granite
The last two are pretty flexible and one will probably be amethyst till you get good chaos resist.
- You're going to Alteration orb them till you get at least "Gain 1-3" Charges when you get hit. You can then use the bench craft and use instilling orbs to craft "Use when at full charges" This will quite literally make them active almost all the time.
- You can additionally roll a Suffix (% Armour during flask effect ) To gain large sources of armour Don't worry too much about all the suffixes at the start as it's much more important to have the base flask active at all times. Also 3% Regen During Flask Effect craft is found in maps.
For "Gain x charges on hit here is the item level requirement"
- Gain 1 Charge = Item Level 29
- Gain 2 Charge = Item Level 63
- Gain 3 Charge = Item Level 80
Why don't you run Vaal RF?
Vaal Righteous Fire adds a nice chunk of damage but also hurts your character a ton. I don't usually use it unless I have crazy good sustain but there is no harm in using it. (aside from occasionally dying)
It is solid to combo with a low life recovery flask
It is commonly used in Life Stack Righteous fire & Hateful Accuser Varients
When do you do Eater & Exarch
Eater & Exarch are your first 2 voidstones, players who are skilled can handle them right when they get to them usually around level 90.
For players who are less experienced check the "going block based" loadout in the PoB. They key here is Elder Helmet for Fire Trap Damage. & Shaper Shield to tank most hits.
Tip"For exarch bring an extra ruby flask to use during the "ball phase" so you can maintain 90% max fire resist. And roll a flask to remove burn so you can turn RF Off for mega regen"
Why not other Ascendancy for RF?
My Preferred Ascendancy for RF is Chieftain as of 3.24. However, Jugg & Inqusitor are also good. Here's a list of other ones that work but why I don't play them often.
- Elementalist - Highest Damage RF, Probably the most squishy & gear reliant. Reliant on Golems, Fastest 2 Voidstone Rusher but I prefer Chief After that.
- Trickster - Go ask CaptainLance because I hate playing evasion based RF Builds
- Hierohpant - Goes Arcane Righteous Fire and is incredibely expensive and very annoying to manage the sustain. However, HIGHEST damage Pure RF build
- Scion - Also expensive to get going (Much cheaper than Hierophant) This build however, functions on Ivory Tower and also can take a long more to get going than the average RF Build
How to scale explosions
Chieftain RF Comes with Hinekora, Death's Fury. This causes 10% of enemies you kill to explode dealing 250% Damage. Pair this with Fan the Flames Cluster Jewel/Fire Prolif on Gloves.
To get more explodes add more monsters in the map. Things like Delirium, Altars, scarabs & league mechanics such as Blight, Breach etc
Fire Trap, Flame wall, Flameblast, Bodyswap, Scorching Ray. Which to use
- Fire Trap - Highest Damage (Damage comes from burning ground)
- Scorching Ray of Immolation - Also very high damage + Exposure + Infused Channeling (unrealistic to stand still in endgame)
- Flamewall - Smoothest of the skills but about 3x less damage than Fire Trap
- Flameblast - 10 Stack flameblast is very good damage but we have very little cast speed and standing still can be super dangerous. Vaal flame blast can work out well for maps but also be careful of ELE reflect.
- Fire Trap of Blasting - Doesn't work well, it removes the Burning Ground which is all the damage for us.
- Bodyswap - Doesn't do comparable damage to fire trap
Why do you use lifetap?
Lifetap adds a secret duration tag to RF which enables the use of Swift Affliction which is one of our strongest gems. Especially Pre-awakend Gems. It also gives us a 20% damage boost while maintaining the buff which is easily kept up via Shield Charge or Frost Blink.
- It's important to make sure Lifetap on your RF & Fire Trap are max level where as lifetap on trigger skills like frostblink & shield charge stay level 1 to have maximum uptime on your lifetap buff
Why do you use swift affliction when it doesn't work for RF?
- For Swift Affliction to work you need to use Lifetap. It adds a hidden "Duration" tag to the skill gem. I'm quite sure this is intended since it's been around for a few years. (it's one of the highest damage support gems)
- VAAL RF Does NOT give Regular RF a Duration tag
What Pantheons are you using?
- Remember these can be flexilble based on what you're doing.
- Major - Brine King (If you get Freeze Immune & Stun Immune from other sources you can switch this)
- Minor Ralakesh ( With this Pantheon you should be able to literally ignore all forms of bleeding )
- Major - Arakaali (This is great for reducing some degen from RF & for the Chaos resistance against damage over time)
I will usually swap to Arakali for helping with Degen or Lunaris for more Phys mitigation.
To unlock Additonal Pantheon Powers such as "Freeze Immune" from brine king. Run the Respected map with a
Divine VesselDivine Vessel4cCaptures the soul of a map boss, used to upgrade a Pantheon power.
Why can I not run all the Auras? or Malevolence
This is fully explained in the PoB, it's either the shield, the cluster jewel, incorrect links or some other misconfiguration.
Please re-read the PoB as it addresses this fully.
Scorching Ray of Immolation, SRI
This is the best single target skill of all the options, it does require some level of investment to actually work though. When setup correctly it will do anywhere from 2-4X Fire Trap
The goal of SRI Totems is to SPAM totems as fast as possible, they apply a single stack of Scorching Ray then constantly re-apply due to the totems. "Totems" bypass the cap which means you can get 70+ Stacks
This means that Totem placement speed is one of your strongest ways to scale damage, second being "Increased Duration" not totem duration.
- Minimum Requirements +1 Max totem shield. (I would really recommend having life on block as well. you can learn how to craft this in the "Crafts" section
- Look at the "Work in Progress POB on the site, it's good enough to follow. The Shield is M A N DA T O R Y"
- Totemic Zeal on the skill tree
- I don't know the exact breakpoints for cast speed so I'll just drop down the info I've learned
This build has a total of 43% Cast Speed
- 10% From ancestral Echo
- 18% From Nebulis
- Rest from tree
And a total of 110% Placement Speed
From the tree
Can you do Maven with this build?
- Yes. Make sure you roll a separate flask with remove burn & Ignite. It's a suffix on flasks and you'll want to bring it with you incase you get hit by a beam. If you do just click the flask and it'll turn off your Righteous Fire
- Here's an SSF RF Maven Kill
Why do you use replica soul tether?
Inquisitor Only
- Replica Soul Tether gives us Corrupted Soul. You could also use Burden of Truth which would work
- Note: This is usually an SSF approach or Pre-Aegis Setup
- The purpose of this is to gain a massive bulk of ES along with
increasing our NET regen by splitting RF damage. (This is actually really good to use with a Shaper Life gain on Block shield as an alternative setup to Aegis)
- NOTE - This is bad to use with Aegis Aurora
Placeholder
How do you get so much Energy Shield?
Inquistor
- Most of the time it's just from Aegis Aurora + Shield Nodes on the tree
- Some Variants will use Corrupted Soul which gives 15% of Max life as ES
- Replica Soul Tether - 6% Max Life as ES (can go up to 7% with catalyst)
- Can also use burden of truth but along with Replica soul tether they are not good with Aegis Aurora
How much Life Regen should I have for RF?
- This is a tricky question to answer so i'll go with an mid level Mapping benchmark
- Inquisitor - 1k-1.2k Is usually enough for most things. If you're max block expect to have lower.
- Jugg - Somewhere around 1K-1.4K (Immortal Flesh helps a TON with this)
- Chief - Somewhere around 800-1.4K (Immortal Flesh helps a TON with this)
- TLDR if your life regen feels low get more
Note: If you're playing Chief RF with Annihilations Approach it's okay to have less recovery.
Why Does my RF randomly turn off?
Check your flasks. You probably have a remove Burn & Ignite Flask.
Why am I dying in red maps
I have a dedicated Leveling PoB.
You can find it on Pohx.net
Leveling RF Chief
How do you level up RF?
How do I scale Fire Trap Single Target?
- (Remember Fire Trap is your main single target where RF is mainly for Clear)
- Does your weapon have at least 100% Elemental damage + DoT Multi? If you have +1 it can compare to like 70% ele damage / 20 multi You can also use an 8% Nebulis
- Are your gems 20% Quality?
- Do you have a Level 21 Fire Trap
- Do you have your Fire Trap Helm Crafted (You put Fire Trap inside it) (Ele dmg + Burn or Conc) or burn + conc.
- Have you upgraded to Archedemon Crown? It's an elder helmet with an Additonal +2 Gems
- Are you making sure the boss is standing on your Firetraps burning ground?
- Are you using an Offensive amulet? You can use something with DoT Multi + Level to Fire Gems. Chieftain will usually use Defiance of Destiny to seek immotality
- Are you running Malevolence? Refer to PoB Loadout for help
- DoT Multi Rings - Essence Crafted /w
Essence of DeliriumEssence of Delirium12cA corrupted essence. Adds one modifier from a small pool of powerful effects, varying by item slot. - Jewels - Life, Multi Burning Damage. But there are tons of offensive stats so you don't need this exact type
- Searing Exarch - can get DoT Multi Implicit & Exposure on Gloves. Chieftain doesn't use exposure.
- Are you using a Curse? You should be using Flammability. Chieftain wants to use Punishment.
How do you scale RF Damage | What Affix & Modifiers work
- RF Scales off the following Modifiers. (RF DOES NOT SCALE OFF SPELL DAMAGE )
- Increases (These all pretty much scale the same so take the highest %)
- Fire Damage, Burning Damage, Increased Damage, Increased Damage over time, Fire damage over time, Elemental Damage, Area Damage
- Maximum Health/ES (but don't go out of your way for it because it's not scaling Fire Trap) Usually around 7K+ Is ideal for most RF Builds.
- Inquisitor can also have a bulk of ES so this works towards RF Damage.
- Some RF Variants rely on heavily stacking LIFE + ES (usually ivory tower or Life Stack builds)
- Multipliers
- Fire damage over time Multiplier, Damage over time Multiplier, Frenzy Charges
Why do people put RF in Helmet?
Why do people put RF in Helmet?
People like to play different, usually it's much better to put Fire Trap in the helmet & RF in the body.
One exception could be corrupt body with +2 or +4 Gems. However, Archdemon crown will typically outscale this.
What League mechanics is RF Good at for Farming?
For rf to feel really comfy in most mechanics you want to use the Level 90 Going block based Loadout. Ignite Spread & Life on Block are key here.
RF is good at
- Harvest
- Beyond (with some investment) [br
- Breach
- Expedition
- Strong Boxes
- Deli Mirror (With some investment)
- Shrines
- Abyss
- Delve - (usually around 500 depth then go sideways)
- Alva / Incursion
- Heist
- Blight
- Ritual
Stacked DeckStacked Deck1c Farm [with some investment]
RF is Okay at
- Legion
- Jun / Betrayal
- Boss rush (maven 10 way)
- Bestiary
- Ultimatum
- Essences
SimulacrumSimulacrum23cA fragment that opens the Simulacrum, thirty waves of Delirium monsters. (gotta be geared for later waves) [dbr}
RF is really bad at
- Sanctum - The goal is to not get hit, we build to get hit
- Ubers - Single target sucks for this stage in the game, might be okay with SRI Totems

What do you look for on Cluster Jewels?
I typically look for Prismatic Heart on my Large clusters. Anything that gives 24%+ Elemental damage works.
- You can also look for mediums with life Flow of Life + Burning Bright (for AoE) or literally just the highest % Damage
- Make sure to look for minium on the Passives. For Large you Want 8 For Medium You want 4-5
What should I look for on Watchers Eye?
- I'm only going to list things I would actually consider using.
- T1 = Very good T2 = Usable T3 = Very Niche
- Vitality. (I would use a level 1 just for the benefit)
- T2 Increased life Recovery
- T2 %Increased Maximum Life Regeneration
- Purity of Elements.
- T1 Bonus Chaos Resistance While affected by Purity of Elements
- Determination
- T1 %Physical Damage Reduction
- T2 Critical Strike damage reduction
- T3 +To Armour
- Malevolence
- T1 Damage over time Multi
- T2 Unaffected by Bleeding
- T2 Life & ES Recovery
- Purity of Fire
Physical Damage Taken as Fire
Why don't you scale High life for damage for RF anymore?
RF Does get its base damage from Life. However, it's very hard to scale your life past 7-8K. Going from this amount to something like 15-20K and upwards takes Extreme investment and usually comes with a big downside.
- You can play Life Stack RF but it's very expensive and not a league starter
Why do Aegis Aurora Variants not use Corrupted Soul?
Corrupted soul Splits the damage you take between your Life + ES. Aegis only replinishes your ES so you're going to die
Usually Inquisitor Only
Why do you not use a staff?
Staff is definitely more damage but I'm addicted to shield charge. I also prefer to be more tanky
- Jugg - Can actually go staff based due to how Thicc they become from Unbreakable. You'll look for something similar to the sceptre and you can also use a fire based Cane of Kulemak
What Passives do I look for on Brutal Restraint?
Brutal Restraint rolls a total of 25 Different stats to add to noteables this means it basically gives a bonus onto of the original stats I’ll list the desired stats to look for (note there are literally 10,000 different combinations so just be happy with something mediocre unless you want to.
- T1 = Very Good, T2 = You want with T1 T3 = kinda fluff/niche
- T2 Ailment Effect - Scales your scorch & Shock if using tempest shield
- T2 Cold Resistance - 20% Cold Res helps with gearing.
- T2 Flat Dexterity - +20 Flat dex can help with gearing for Swift Affliction
- T3 % Dexterity - Not as good but still usable for Swift Affliction
- T2 Aura Effect - Always good, scales all of your auras
- T1 Elemental Damage - One of the best and straight forward 20% Ele damage is big
- T2 Flask Effect - Kinda T1 but I prefer the others, amazing secondary
- T1 Frenzy Charge on Kill - Big damage + Speed for Mapsping
- T2 Life - 4% max life is okay
- T3 Movement Speed - 5% movement speed
- T1 Onslaught - 8 Second onslaught on kill
- T3 Speed - 5% Atk/Cast speed a little worse than the movement speed
Why do you use Shield Charge?
It's one of the smoothest mobility skills in the game. Especially once you get good movement + Attack speed. It can be very annoying to constantly get stuck on objects which is why I run frostblink along side it. Make sure to tap it frequently and not just hold it down.
What Eldritch & Exarch Influence Implicits Should I use?
Note: These are hard to rate since each class wants something different so follow POB first.
Body Armour
Chieftain uses Cloak of Flame usually so ignore the body mods
T1 + To all Maximum Resistance
T1 + Phys taken as X element
T1 Determination Increased Effect
T2 Increased Life Recovery
T2 Increased effect of non curse auras
T2 Malevolence Increased Effect
T2 Gain an endurance charge every X second
Gloves
T1 Fire damage over time Multiplier
T1 Ignites you spread in an Area of Effect
T1 Fire Exposure
T1 Increased damage per 100 Strength
T2 Increased minion damage
Boots
T1 Action Speed or Movement Speed
T1 Maximum Fire resistance
T1 Increased life regeneration rate
T1 % Regen per endurance charge
Helmet - ur almost always in elder helm so nothing applies here.
How do I apply Fire Exposure & do they stack?
Fire Exposure does not stack. It will simply take the highest value.
CHIEFTAIN does not use Exposure
Other Variants of RF Use Exposure and here is usually how you acquire it.
- The two most common ways to apply it are Gloves (Eldritch Influence) & master of Fire (Cluster Jewel) Can also use Heraldry if Explode
- You can also apply it with Wave of Conviction or Scorching ray (scorching ray sucks because you have to stand still so I do not recommend)
Why Replica Soul Tether over Glorious Vanity? or Rare belt
Inquisitor only
You're going to have to roll through hundreds of Glorious vanity's to get a really good one. This is a massive pain the ass and I don't recommend it because it kind of kills the fun. Along side that you're going to want a god tier Stygian belt with like T1 Life / Regen & other goodies. You're also going to have to respec the tree to path through the marauder/templar section for optimal pathing.
- Simply put you could just use a Replica Soul tether and still clear all content.
- 3.19 and onwards we typically skip this now and just use a rare stygian vise. Although more niche builds may still want to use Glorious Vanity
Endgame/High Investment Upgrades
- Note: Nothing here is listed in a particular order but more so for direction
- +1 +1 Amulet /w DoT Multi OR a really good amulet that's corrupted with +1 Curse
- +1 +1 Scepter /w DoT Multi & Harvest Quality = Ele Damage
- Cluster Jewels. Usually 8 passive Fire with at least Prismatic Heart, although you probably want 3 Notables
- Watchers Eye (refer to the FAQ for specific ones but you want Malev DoT Multi
- Timeless Jewels. Usually Brutal Restraint or Lethal Pride
- Unnatural Instinct (Usually for explode builds )
- Double Corrupting Body Armour for +2 or +4 Gems. (If using Archdemon go for % Increase Damage)
- Forbidden Flesh & Flame (Refer to the Faq for specific ones but I recommend Aspect of Carnage)
- +1 with 90%+ Fire Damage Shileld, Usually with Max Res suffix (Usually have recovery shield)
- 15% DoT Multi Rings
- Mageblood., Can check PoE Ninja or Global 911 / My Discord for more help on setting this up.
- Impossible Escape on CI/Supreme Ego
- Fitting in 2 or 3 Curses, Elemental Weakness & Punishment.(Doesn't work for Chief)
- Archedemon Tripple Helmet /w Burn, More Ele & Conc or +2 Gems (Can also do awakener orb method with Trap & Mine)
- Oriath's End (only really for clear) & Progensis (helps with not getting 1 shot)
- Replacing Legacy of Fury. Usually for people who want to farm ubers.
- Cogwork Ring from the PoB
- Foulborn Red Dream for Huge Life
- Converting to Life Stack /w Foulborn Rathpin
- Adored (Breakpoints are 75/88/100)
Do I need Master of Fire?
Good for Ele RF
Chieftain does not use exposure.
Why do you use Frenzy Charges?
Frenzy charges give 4% Attack speed (Helps shield charge) & 4% MORE Damage per charge. This affects pretty much everything in the game except for minions?
- Frenzy Charges are usually generated via Bloodrage, Rings or Brutal Restraint
Why do you use Blood Rage?
Attack speed which helps your shield charge speed and easy access to frenzy charges for faster Maps clear
How do you get 3% Regen on Flask?
Unlocked in Higher tier maps near the map boss.
How much Ignite chance do you need?
Juggernaut & inquistor version don't really need any ignite chance since they use the combustion gem.
Chieftain Variants will want around 30-50% Ignite chance for smooth Hinekora Explodes. When the explode procs we want it to create an ignite since the damage is so high. Here are some of the sources.
Holy Dominion 10% Ignite (From templar section in skill tree)
Chance to Freeze, Shock & Ignite. (left of templar near divine judgement)
Chance to Ignite 15-20% (You can find this near Holy Fire & Breath of Flames)
Fire Damage & Ignite Chance 18-20% (Weapon Prefix Craft)
What is your 6 Link RF & Firetrap Setup?
- RF Setup (Body Armor/Armour) (if in helmet you can also go Level 4 Empower + Efficacy )
- Burning Damage
- Elemental Focus
- Inc AoE (Can use efficacy instead)
- Lifetap
- Swift Affliction
- Fire Trap
- Lifetap
- Swift Affliction
- Controlled Destruction
- This is a tricky question for me since there are many swaps, I'd just go to the latest PoB on my website and look at the endgame gear sets
Why do you craft on an Elder helm over Shaper Helmet?
- Conc + Burn > AoE + Trap & Mine Damage
- You can absolutely use a shaper helm but I'd like to say elder is better
- You can also use a combo on your gloves, there are many options for Influenced RF pieces.
- We also pivot later to an Elder Archdemon Crown for the Bonus +2 Gems.
How to Survive Critical Damage?
- There are 2 Sources of Reduced Critical Damage on the tree we can take. You can get more by getting a reduced crit damage shield, watchers eye or vaal implicits.
- Armour/Armor Mastery - 30% Reduced Critcial Damage Taken
- Sanctum of Thought - 30% Reduced Critical Damage Taken.
Tattoo of the Rongokurai Turtle is another option. You can use these on INT nodes.
Why not Brass Dome?
Juggernaut only usually
It's honestly a very good chest but it does come with some downsides.
You can't influence it since it's unique, you lose tons of HP/ES which is damage for RF. I personally prefer just having a rare crafted chest (they're not even that expensive on league start like 20c for a 6L)
In endgame variants I also usually use Mana reservation efficiency on a chest which usually allows for more DPS. However double corrupted brass domes with + Gems are also Extremely strong but expensive.
- overall it's a fantastic choice but usually very expensive.
- For RF/FT Colors I recommend Omen of Blanching or Corrupting and using Tainted Fuse.
Why Not Shadowstitch?
Shadowstitch is actually a really solid piece but it requires you to corrupt almost everything you have and stack a ton of extra res. I personally HATE trying to build around it and don't find it fun at all. But the chest is solid. You also have to find the right color + Implict
Note: I'd only go Shadowstitch on Inquisitor
What is the Gear Order Priority for RF?
Note that the economy changes so it's hard to keep this updated.
- Dawn Breaker / Rise of the phoenix. Assuming they are a few chaos. This lasts until you make the Shaper Recovery Shield
- Immortal Flesh. Usually couple of chaos. Insane belt for Life Recovery
- Ignite Spread usually from Embers on gloves. This is close to my #1 Priority for currency spent.
- 5/6 Link for Righteous Fire, this massively improves your clear. (Cloak of Flames is ideal body)
- Elder Helmet, if crafting use Ilvl82+ for Lvl 16 Concentrated Effect & Lvl 16 Burning Damage. I'd recommend doing this in an Archdemon Crown for the bonus +2 gems
- Shaper Shield /w % of max life gain on block. This makes your character extremely tanky.
- Nebuilis. Great mid weapon. Look for an 8% Roll
What is the best RF MTX?
- Harbinger
- Default
- Transcendance
- Divine - Special thanks to kjlhs for helping me update the site I actually hate divine rf
How much currency is required for all content?
- First 2 Voidstones require very minimal gear, we're talking under a divine in just basic rare gear with life/res
- Uber Elder & Maven should be very doable on under 10 Divines. Do note that Maven doesn't require much currency to do at all. You just need to do the mechanics.
- Things like
SimulacrumSimulacrum23cA fragment that opens the Simulacrum, thirty waves of Delirium monsters. can be very niche and will probably require 30+ Divine Investment for consistent clears - Ubers will take additional currency to down due to their massive HP pools so let's also say 50+ Divine (For consitent clears you would want even more)
- Note: We now have T17 Maps which are inbetween Ubers & Pinnacles. It's probably going to be 30+ Divines to get your character ready for this content. Although you can scrape by with a cheap character if you're trying to get 1 kill for your map unlocks
- Mageblood & Adorned Setups should be able to clear all content for sure. But I expect this to be 300+ Divines
Why does Chieftain not use Legacy, Flammability, or Exposure?
Chieftains Ramako Sun's Light node makes monsters set at -20% Resistance. This makes it so they can never go Above or Below.
This is typically huge for mapping because of all the modifiers rare mobs can have along with map mods.
However, when it comes to bossing content outside of maps it's outclassed by - resistance stacking
What are good Amulet options?
- Replica Atziri's Foible (zdps but good sustain)
- Rare Marble/Dex or Int base Amulet /w +1 Gems or High sources of DoT Multi or both.
- Defiance of Destiny
- Replica Dragon Fang - Fire Trap
What Tattoos are good for RF?
The Tattoo of the Ngamahu Warrior now provides 5% increased Fire Damage. This is okay nothing special
The Tattoo of the Valako Scout now provides 10% reduced effect of Shock on You. (Solid for non inquis variants for reducing shock damage)
The Tattoo of the Tukohama Shaman now provides 0.3% Life Regeneration per Second. ( An okay option for getting more life regen )
Tattoo of the Rongokurai Turtle - 5% reduced critical damage taken
Tattoo of the valako shieldbearer +1% chance to block attack damage
Tattoo of the ngamahu firewalker +6% to fire resistance
How do I properly use Fire Trap?
Throw trap at target, if target is near or trap lands on target it explodes. Most of the damage comes from the burning ground (which you want to try to keep the target in)
- It's best to keep throwing traps for Ignite damage and the on hit of fire trap is very strong
How do you Chain / Prolif Chieftain Explodes?
I usually like to use 1 of 2 options (do not use both)
Fan the Flames (Medium Cluster Jewel) or Glove Implicit for Ignite Proliferation. (Searing Exarch)
Another option is Bererk's Respite.
Fan the Flames/Prolif is better for things with lingering spawns like Harvest, ritual, blight,Delerium
Bererk's is better for General map clear or when there are monsters you want to die instantly like spawning a full expedition
How to keep up Consecrated Ground?
For early game we use a Sulphur Flask.
Later on we get a Rational Doctrine (from uber cortex)
What is better Jugg, Inq, Ele, Chief?
TLDR - Play Chieftain . especially for SSF / League start Gearing / Rushing T16 / Juiced Mapping
Chieftain
- Doesn't get a ton of Regen from Ascend BUT has the easiest time Gearing by FAR (You stack fire res to cover all res but chaos)
- By far has the best Mapping Experience by having built in Explodes. Also Best for T16 Rushing & SSF
- The worst for bossing on a budget because you need to stand still for most dps. (This changes when you have good gear)
- Has the best Experience dealing with Map Mods because of Ramako sun's light. This makes your damage feel very consistent
- Ramako Sun's Light allows you to ignore any monster resistance and set them to -20. This is the most Crazy Mapping Node
Juggernaut
- Slow Act 1 (Requires Mule)
- Gets very good Regen from Ascend
- Slowest Mapping Experience but is the most sturdy with the least gear.
- Also weak for bossing compared to inquisitor.
Inquisitor
- Much Faster Act 1 No Mule Required.
- Usually used as a leveling build to respec to something else.
- Gets the best Regen from Ascend
- Inbetween mapping Experience with the best single target early on.
- Needs to go Utula or Block based to properly survive red maps
Elementalist
- Fastest Campaign Clear
- Reliant on Golems, Huge buffs but have to invest
- Usually used as a leveling build to respec to something else.
- Most AoE from built in scaling
- Squishest but highest Damage
Muling means you level a different character for gems. In this context it means leveling a Witch to level 4 (Takes about 10 minutes MAX )
Why do you not run Herald of Ash?
Does not scale RF or Fire trap.

Dangerous Encounters & What RF Is weak to
Lategame bosses in general (Past pinnacles) this is aimed for Ubers + T17 Maps. RF doesn't get the highest damage so trying to clear these consistently can be a pain.
- Maven - It's not actually that bad but if you get hit by a beam you need a remove ignite/burn Flask.
- Legion - Doesn't clear very fast unless explode setup
- Blight - Doesn't clear very well till Ignite Spread on gloves
- 80%+ Deli - RF Doesn't have the highest ceiling for damage so it might take a while for high deli Maps
- Wave 30 Sim - Just a slower deli clear build but you can overgear to make it ez.
- Maps Mods - No regen, - Max Res, Less Recovery
How to get 90% Max res / Fire Res
- 2% Max Fire Res Jewels
- Ruby Flask For Early Game
- 23 Purity of Fire + Aura Effect Break Points
- Rise of the Phoenix (EARLY GAME)
- Max Fire Res Shield (usually for min-maxing)
- 1% max Fire Res Exarch Implicit on Boots
- Enthalpic rings with Max Fire Res (early game)
What are your Defensive Layers?
Chieftain
- 1k+ Life Regen
- 7k+ Life (also has very good mitigation)
- Very Strong aganst Phys Damage over time due to Cloak of Flame
- 90% Max all resistance.
- Freeze Immune, Ignite Immune & Shock Resistant.
- 30% Reduced Crit Damage taken (can get higher with corrupts)
- Block + Spell Block Cap with Recovery
- 5+ Endurance Charges
- Flesh and Stone
Inquisitor
- 1.3k+ Life Regen & 400+ ES Regen Per second.
- 6k+ EHP with Life + ES
- 95% Curse Resistance
- Shock & Freeze Immune.
- 60% Reduced Crit Damage taken (can get higher)
- 80% Max all res on budget can go much higher
- 45K+ Armour/Armor with Flasks
- 2-4k Molten Shell Bubble or Frost Shield
- Block + Spell Block Cap with Recovery
Jugg
- 1.5k+ Life Regeneration (and can actually spike to 10k+ While Mapping)
- 5k+ Life (might seem low but Jugg has massive mitigation)
- 80k+ Armour
- Freeze Immune and shock resistant.
- 80% Max all res on budget can go much higher
- 30% Reduced Crit Damage taken (can get higher)
- Cannot be slowed much due to Unstoppable
- 5K Molten Shell without Flasks
- Block + Spell Block Cap with Recovery
How do you apply your Consecrated Ground to Enemies?
I personally just frostblink or shield charge into the target.
Inquisitor Only
How do you curse with the build?
I just like to link my curse to lifetap and manually use it.
You can also use hexbloom on your curse to prolif it. But it might crash ur game
Why do you use Skitterbots?
- Highest damage per reservation for single target.
- You get shock which is a damage multiplier & Trap & Mine Damage for your fire trap.
- they also chill which is nice.
What do I need to ✓ in PoB Config for Righteous Fire?
- Is Lifetap Active? ✓
- Are YOU on conc Ground? ✓ ( only if you have rational doctrine )
- Is enemy ignited (Because of Fire Trap) ✓
- Enable Endurance Charges
- Enable Frenzy (This is only for mapping though)
- Chieftain set Time spent Stationary " 1 "
- Disable Guard Skills to prevent PoB padding along with Enduring Cry
Why do I randomly degen sometimes?
Inquisitor = Make sure to keep refreshing your Conc Ground
- Bleeding. Make sure you have the Ralakesh Pantheon or else bleeds will destroy your character
- Poison & Chaos Damage. The map mod monsters poison on hit is pretty dangerous especially when you have under 50% Chaos resistance. Each moster will apply a separate poison which stacks. Especially dangerous in higher tier maps & Guardians.
- Executioner Mod This is a modifier some rare monsters can have which prevents HP & ES regen above 50%. This means you degen till 50% and sit there. it's kinda rude so kite them out or bust them.
- Essence. These can use Frost Bomb which negates 50% of all our recovery
- Rejuvinator - A green pulse on some rare monsters which reduces your recovery
- Lowered Resistance - Monsters spefically "Hexer" can put nasty curses & sources of fire exposure which will massively lower your fire resistance which if pulled low enough will make you degen. This is also why ruby flask is so strong
- Map Mods. -Max res, %Reduced recovery & No Regen. I skip these always. You can run -Max maps but almost every build in the game takes waaaay more damage from having your maximum resistance reduced
- Map Mods. Elemental Weakness. You don't have to skip this but if your resistance is not overcapped enough (20% or so) you might want to avoid this map mod
- Strongbox - Release caustic ground deals HEAVY chaos damage over time. Note there are a few zombies that also do this
- Concecrated Ground. without rational doctrine your uptime will not be consistent so don't try to rely on this until then.
- Annihilation's Approach. Don't try to run this without 90% Max res + Doctrine
How do you cover in Ash?
Usually don't in most setups but here are some options
- Xoph's Blood/Heart
- Wrapped in Flame Cluster
- Settling Ash annoint
- Polaric Devastation.
- Grasping Mail
Why do you use Enduring Cry & Infernal Cry
- Enduring Cry - I usually only use for bossing so when I take a massive hit I smack it or for Mapping if I know i'm going to take damage I try to press it right before
- Infernal Cry - I usually use for Mapping so if you find a tanky blue pack you hit infernal cry and once 1 mob dies the whole pack explodes. Also very good for shrines.
How much Armor/Armour should I have?
- Usually around white Maps you have somewhere around 15-25K depending on your Determination level and if your granite flask is active.
- Red Maps i'm usually around 30-45K Armour/Armor with Flasks on
- Note: Jugg Should Have 20k+ Armour with no flasks entering maps (if you have lower it's fine)
- Red maps I would say 50K Minimum and you can go upwards of 120K
Chieftain . 5k+ Armour if you're dropping Determination. Make sure to use Cloak of Flame or Coil & Incorporate Endurance Charges.
How to scale RF AoE / Area
- RF scales radius on Gem Level along with Quality. That radius then scales with Increased AoE
- RF Breakpoints
- Level 4 +1 Radius
- Level 8 +1 Radius
- Level 12 +1 Radius
- Level 16 +1 Radius
- Level 20 +1 Radius
- Level 24 +1 Radius (I'm sure you figured this out by now but every 4 levels is +1 radius)
- AOE Section by templar (Amplify)
- AOE Above Templar (Explosive Impact)
- Burning Bright nodes on Cluster Jewels. Medium/Large
- +1 Gem Craft + AoE on Helm
- % AoE Damage & Aoe on Amulet.
- Unnatural Instinct at Scion
- Jugg can get AoE scaling via Endurance charges through their ascendancy.
Placeholder
How do you get AoE or Elemental Damage on your Weapon Quality
Harvest. Check your Harvest crafting bench ( Horticrafting Station )
Why do you not use Asenath's Gloves for Explode
I don't usually use these anymore because I just play chieftain variants for Explode.
Ele and other Vairants can use Oriath's End
Place Holder
Melding of the Flesh?
Melding of the Flesh is a fantastic defensive layer but it does require currency and gear. It's mainly used in the Aeigs Aurora setup but can be integrated into any variant if you spend enough currency.
- It enables you to achieve 90% All Elemental Resistance. (not chaos)
Inquisitor only
What type of Atlas do you run?
Starting atlas is usually something to assist with bonus map drops. Like the nodes on the Atlas Tree
after completing 2 void stones I like to use a density focused atlas with altars. Something like Harvest for example
You can go to the "Atals Section" on the website for more information.
You can see all of our Atlas strats here https://pohx.net/atlas/
What are good uniques for Leveling RF?
- Replica Atziri's Foible
- Vivinsect
- Pyre Ring (my favorite)
- Kikazaru (my favorite) Ring
- Springleaf
- Seven League Step
- Wanderlust
GoldGoldrim- Darkness Enthroned Belt (/w Life Regen Jewels)
- Perandus Blazon
- Replica Fragile Bloom.
- Tabula Rasa
- Death's Rush
- Cloak of Flame Chief
- Shapers Seed
- Le Heup of All ring
- Bereks Respite
- Immortal Flesh
- HonourHome
- Thrillsteel
- Voll's Vision
- Rise of the Phoenix
- Devoto Devotion (for zooming maps early league)
How to run RF at low level?
For running RF At level 17 Here's what you're going to need.
- 120% Fire Resistance (Usually via 2x ruby ring & fire res crafts on your gear)
- 1 Life regen per uncapped fire resistance on Fire Mastery (This means if you have 120 Fire res you get 120 Life regen)
In my current RF Guide we go RF around level 30
What Bandits?
Kraityn Is my personal favorite for the Movement Speed. (8% Movement Speed)
Oak is good for players who want to be more tanky (+40 Life)
Killing all for a Skill Point should be the best for single target.
What Loot Filter do you use?
You can find all my filters here -->
- Please note my filters are designed specifically for RF
What Unique Jewels are good for RF?
- Watchers Eye
- Brutal Restraint (Can only use 1 Legion Jewel)
- Glorious Vanity (Can only use 1 Legion Jewel)
- Lethal Pride (Can only use 1 Legion Jewel)
- Transcendant Mind - Needs a specific spot
- Melding of the Flesh (Require a proper setup)
- Elegant Hubris
- Impossible Escape
- Possibly Thread of Hope
- Foulborn Red Dream + Fire Resist Tats
- Stormshroud
- Rational Doctrine
- Light of Meaning (Fire)
- Adorned
What anoints
Tip: You can hold ALT ingame over the Notable to see the required Oils. You can put one of these on an amulet
- Disciple of the Unyielding ( my current pick for rf chief )
- Aggresive bastion (Cheap way to get Endurance Charge Generation)
- Arsonist
- Ash Frost & storm might be better when you get Legacy of Fury (scales the scorch effect)
- Master Sapper (usually for single target because it generates frenzy charges during 1v1 encounters )
- Charisma (Usually our endgame to fit in Skitterbots) EXPENSIVE
- Whispers of Doom (For double curse) EXPENSIVE
Why do you level so many fire trap gems?
Using a vall orb on a level 20 Skill gem can cause it to go to level 21
This is a very big boost to the base damage of fire trap. You can also apply this logic to most support & Active Gems.
When do you stop using Golems?
Usually when it starts to die frequently. Usually around red Maps
Elementalist doesn't stop using them because you spec into them.
How do you Generate Endurance Charges?
- Disciple of the Unyielding ( my current Anoint for rf chief )
- Juggernauts gain Endurance Charges when hit
- Aggresive bastion (Cheaper Anoint than Disciple but weaker)
- Another option is Enduring Composure small cluster jewel
What Gear would you Corrupt for RF?
- Elder Helmet if you want to mega gamble
- Shield if using unique, ( for phys damage taken as x element )
- Legacy of Fury / annihilation Approach
- Cloak of Flame / Lighting Coil
- basically unique items are good for corrupting if they aren't too expensive.
How to sustain Annihilation's Approach
Minimum Requirements 90% Max Fire Res & 300 Net Regen in POB. You will have to Import your Character for the correct values.
Make sure to Disable Enduring Cry & Immortal Call from POB to see proper NET Regen
For reference I'm 2050 Regen Ingame and 1.1K Net Regen in PoB. Here are some Additional ways to get regen
Rational Doctrine
Runegraft of the Bound
3% Regen Flask Craft
Switching Pantheon to Arakali (You get chill & freeze immune from the boots) Make sure to take Unwavering Stance to help with stuns.
Vitality Arrogance - I think this is a bad option however it's very budget
Tattoo of the Tukohama Shaman - 0.3% Life Regen per. You can put these on STR nodes. Just make sure you have enough STR to still use your gear
What are good Maps to run for RF?
Pretty much anything where your rf covers from left to right. Here are some examples.
Note: Maps cycle every league so it's abit much to constant update, you can honestly run anything I just prefer indoor maps
- Underground Sea
- Silo
- Toxic Sewers
- Atoll
- Wastepool
- Port
- Frozen Cabins
- Waterways
- Channel
- Phantasmagoria
- Tower
- Crater
Why do you use Death's Rush
Addrenaline - Probably the most insane thing for Mapping
Why do you use Pyre Ring
Pyre gives up to 80% Burn Damage + Resistance. Extremely good ring till you swap to Delirium Essence crafted rings or High damage opals.
How do I know when to Replace my Pyre Ring
- Usually replaced via Chaos Resistance Rings when mapping
- You can also replace it with a Minimum Frenzy Ring /w Frenzy on Kill
- Another option would be Crafting via Anger or Delirium Essences ( Delirium = Expensive)
Sources of Onslaught
- Brutal Restraint (on Kill)
- Silver Flask (on use)
- Boots - (on kill)
- Synthesised Implicit Rings (on hit)
Onslaught grants 20% Movement, attack & Cast Speed.
Is Headhunter good for RF?
No get a mageblood
It can actually give insane RF damage from the ES Buff but sustaining becomes a nightmare, kinda fun item to play around with but mageblood is just better for this build.
Can I replace Legacy of Fury?
I don't think you should because it gives awesome clear + Damage from scorch. The only time I replace it is on explode variants.
Chieftain variants don't use Legacy of Fury because Scorch doesn't work for us.
Is RF good for Bossing?
Some players say no because it doesn't do as much damage as other builds. I personally find it all right because the sustain is incredible.
However, when it comes to Uber content & T17 Maps I think RF is on the lower side of damage which can make consistent clears tough.
Svalinn Variant works pretty well on T17 bosses with a limited budget, you can always find the POB's on the Front Page of this Website.

What is good Tooltip dps for RF & Firetrap
Disclaimer I'm terrible at this question because I don't really benchmark things
- RF 400k+ Tooltip
- Firetrap 700k Burning Ground
What is good PoB Dps for RF & Firetrap
- 600K RF DPS
- 2.5M Fire Trap
- Combined = Over 3M For Guardian DPS
- These are very much " low budget dps numbers" like around 10-20 Divine
What is your PoE Profile
What is better, Fire Damage, Fire Multi or +1 Fire Gems?
- For early Progression I typically prioritize Fire Multi over everything. I like to go for + Gems when I have decent gear.
So my order is something like this
- Fire Multi
- +1 All Fire Gems (assume around 70% Increase or about 20% Multi Only works for Fire Trap)
- Increased Fire Damage
- For Best Results POB your character. Depending on your stats you will scale slightly different
How do you get Damage over time Multi on your rings? (Delirium)
Essence of DeliriumEssence of Delirium12cA corrupted essence. Adds one modifier from a small pool of powerful effects, varying by item slot.. You need to Corrupt the following essences with a remnant of corruption.
- Misery
- Dread
- Scorn
- Envy
Is Squire good for RF?
If you make a weapon specifically for RF then possibly, but I have never really used it or tried to use it.
What Influenced Items are good for RF?
- Elder Helmet for Burn/Conc - To scale Fire Trap
- Shaper Shield for Life on Block
- Elder Stygian Vise - An upgrade from Immortal Flesh
- Shaper/Elder Archedemon Crown - The upgraded Elder Helmet for firetrap.
There are other influenced pieces but they are very niche so these are the main ones I recommend.
I got my First Divine Drop what should I spend my currency on?
Depends on the state of the league so here are the most important stuff.
- Immortal Flesh (this is only a few Chaos)
- 6L Chest - Shouldn't cost you more than 20C
- Fan the Flames Cluster or Gloves /w Ignite Prolif
- Shaper Shield /w Recover on block (prob wanna be lvl 80+ For this)
- Recombinated Scepter /w DoT Multi +1 Gem | or Crafted Scepter
- DoT Multi Amulet or Recomb Amulet
How do you Quality your Rings, Belt & Amulet?
Catalysts You can find them Via Ultimatum
Can I use Replica Atziri's Foible
Yes but if you do zdps replace it with a +1 marble or dex based amulet
- You can also use Defiance of Destiny which is a very balanced amulet for chieftain
What are good Replica Items for RF
- Replica Atziri's Foible
- Replica Karui Ward (For lvling )
What rune grafts are good for RF?
- Bound Runegraft
This makes it so you take less damage from your Annihilation Approach & Boosts your glove stats. I'd really only use it with Anni Approach (You will lose as bit of movement speed 6%)
How do I position myself on boss fights
For the most part if it's a Map boss or something I know isn't going to 1 tap me. I sit very close to the boss while moving around clockwise or counter clockwise to avoid the hits.
As a chieftain I stand still and frostblink to the opposite of the boss to remain standing still while dodging
What Curses should I use I see people using Flamability & Punishment
Flammability
Chieftain uses Punishment because of Ramako Sun's light
Is bottled Faith good for RF?
Yes it gives it quite a big damage increase for single target.
What Unique Flasks do I run for RF?
There are quite a few good flasks to use depending on what you want. Here's a list
- Forbidden Taste (used for full heal but you need mega chaos res)
- Bottled Faith (Big Damage)
- Rumi's Concoction (for block)
- Cinderswallow (for onslaught and whatever it rolls)
- Progenesis ( Very broken flask for reducing damage, also breaks ur wallet )
- Orath's End. ( Very good for adding explode to RF Builds for map clear. )
What Forbidden Flesh & Flame do you use for RF?
Templar
- Sanctuary of Thought
- Conviction of Power
- unwavering faith
Jugg
- Aspect of Carnage
- Valako Storm's Embrace
- Unstoppable/Unyielding
Chief
- Aspect of Carnage
Why do you use a Sceptre over a Wand for RF?
Sceptre gives up to 40% Ele Damage which works for RF & Firetrap. Wands give spell damage which does not work for RF
Is it worth it to Dual Wield
I prefer a shield so for me no. It's great to do while leveling or if you want to squeeze very high RF damage numbers
Jugg has much better defenses than inquisitor which allows them to skip a shied if they chose. You could play a dual wield Jugg if you wanted
What are good Flask Suffixes to use?
- %Armour/Armor
- %Movementspeed
- %Attack speed (for shield Charge)
- %Life Regeneration.
- Bleed immunity (I don't personally use this but people like it)
- Poison Immunite (I don't personally use it but it's not bad)
- Remove Burn/Ignite (only for MAVEN)(don't make it auto use)
How do you get a 6 Link so early in the league?
I usually trade for Emperor of Purity. It's a 0/7 Card for 6L Arm/es base
As of 3.18 Onwards I have turned my farming over to Chains that Bind.
In trade league you can usually purchase 6L's pretty early on for around 10-20C
In SSF you can also target Legion to get incubators although it's a bit of a grind.
Jugg can also farm Celestial Justicar although it'll be a lot more rare than the ones listed above
Is it worth using a Tabula Rasa and when should I replace it?
It's a good option if you get it early. However, I prefer having the stats on my body once I have a 4L
Personally I don't really struggle at all with damage so I usually will skip tabula.
I definitely would only use it for the campaign.
Place Holder
What is better for gear, Armour/Armor, ES or Evasion
- I would focus on making sure every piece has Armour/armor as a base.
- The stats on your gear are much more important than the base usually is
Jugg wants to use very high armour pieces as it's a core part of their elemental mitigation.
Inquisitor wants Arm/Es on Body & shield later on. Pure armour in other slots is okay but Arm/Es is favored
Chief wants pure armor bases as well.
What is better %Regen, Flat or Inc Life Regen Rate
- In the early game Flat life regen will be better. It's usually very scarce that you find % life regen on your gear, this is mainly acquired from the passive tree.
- In the later game (usually around Maps) You're going to want to get %Increased Life regeneration rate and mix it with higher values of flat life regeneration.
- Easy TLDR. Equip Piece of gear see what makes your life regen go up more.
Does Recoup life work with RF?
No it doesn't recoup the damage RF deals. But it does kind of stack with your life regen when you take a hit of damage a % of that damage is Recouped back. It's an okay stat to get on rings but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.
Why not Leap Slam?
I don't like it. It feels like I need a ton of attack speed for it to feel even remotely close to shield charge. Pick the mobility skill you prefer
Why do you Reserve almost all your Mana?
We use Lifetap on most of our gems so we can run on very low mana. This allows us to run Extra auras for Defense & Damage
Make sure you are following the PoB Exactly when regarding Auras & Mana Reservation.
Make sure not to put lifetap on your Auras
How to Import your Character in PoB?
Top left of PoB where it says Import/Export. Type in Account name Pohx#1588. Click Import. Select the League & character. Import Gear/Items Finished.
Is The Burden of Truth Good for RF?
It's definitely an okay replacement till a good Stygian/Replica Soul Tether BUT.
I think the belt is better used for builds that don't have a proper way to sustain ES but still use it as a buffer for damage. We have an over abundance of sustain and actually don't even need to use a life flask
Inquisitor only
Divine Shield?
I personally don't usually run Divine Shield unless i'm an Aegis Aurora setup or farming things like
SimulacrumSimulacrum23cA fragment that opens the Simulacrum, thirty waves of Delirium monsters.. It usually only ends up giving me around 150-300 Regen and I could just spec into more life regen or life/damage
I definitely recommend you to try it out for yourself since it's only 1 point
Inquisitor only usually
Is RF Hardcore Viable?
Yes Absolutely!
I would recommend my Chieftain version over the Inquisitor or Jugg for this though. Also my builds are usually geared more towards ssf/sc trade so you may have to modify a few things but they are very tanky as is!
Do note, Red maps early game are quite Rippy especially in HC, so make sure to take it slow and pay attention to the gear upgrades.
How do I get more Dexterity?
Dexterity can be found on a number of gear pieces, usually I try to use a Jade Amulet or Turquoise Amulet to assist with this. Onyx can work as well
You can also find it on your accessores like rings. You can even craft similar to how we craft fire resistance on our gear.
On the skill tree there are 2-3 notables we can take for dexterity. "Versatility" in the very early game and towards the top of Templar near Acrimony. There is a +30 Dexterity Node.
Later on when going block based we path north into Templar and gain access to another +30 Dex Node
In the end game I usually try to just get +50 Dexterity on gloves/rings to free up some passives
Should I ever go low Life?
Low Life RF is usually for Arcane Righteous Fire or Ivory Tower Variants. Both of these cost much more to get started but usually have a higher ceiling. I would not consider these League start viable or SSF friendly.
Much Much Much more currency is required for the build to feel good
There is also a Cast When Stun Variant of RF by emiracles that you can look up
Global Chat
Our RF Global is 911 Many players can help you with questions / crafting
Placeholder
Block / Glancing Blows?
Glancing blows is typically used around level 85+ as a very good defensive layer.
- You need to pair this with a recovery shield such as shaper shield for 3-5% Life gain on block
- Svalinn is a good shield for going True block.
- Aegis Aurora is a fantastic option for Inquis RF
Surrender shield is also a great option but ususally expensive.
When to Gamble with Faustus and Why
You spend gold you earn from killing monsters to gamble.
Gambling allows you to acquire decent gear and is a great way to get your first set of 4 Link Pieces.
It's primarly used for replacing your Campaign gear with decent gear to enter maps & Also for targetting specific unique items.
Arcane Righteous Fire? Mana RF
- Why do you use Coruscating Elixer? It helps sustain RF since it's a ruby flask and without it I can insta die to chaos damage. Not needed but one of the easiest ways to go low life. I susutain it with Traitor via Brutal Restraint
- Why doesn't Coruscating Elixer turn your RF off? Eternal Youth Keystone
- How do you get your mana back? I use mana gained on kill (Thrill Killer) Also 4L for single target. Scorching Ray + Cast while channeling + Penance Brand of Conduction + Infused Channeling. Pair this with the Brand mastery for 10% Mana back on Expire
- What is the budget for this build? I'll ballpark 10 Divines but it will probably feel worse than my RF inquisitor until a certain investment, these builds scale kinda weird
- Why do you use 3 Flasks? Brutal Restraint Traitor - It's to sustain my Flask uptime.
- Why do you use scorching ray? Exposure & Infused Channeling. Feel free to use cyclone if you want.
- How do you sustain Degen? Some quick fixes are Perma uptime on ruby flask + Shavs revelation, brink of death anoint, 2% Es regen mastery, 10% Reduced damage taken over time
- Why not mind over matter? It doesn't work with ES
- I'm very new to this archetype if you want more info go check out the mana guy - Onemanaleft on twitch
What flasks to use with Mageblood?
- If you need help with Mageblood Optimization. Consider Checking /Global 911 Ingame or Ask in my Discord in the RF help Section.
- Typically you use mageblood + Ruby flask with 95% Flask Effect to get 9% max All res and then swap your tree around that.
- I don't typically release Mageblood RF pob's because I prefer to focus on the Early/Mid/Late game & SSF Variations.
- POE Ninja is also another resource to check high end builds, however take everything with a grain of salt since things can be padded. (fake)
When to stop stacking so much Fire Resistance.
Usually around the time you start mapping because other affixes are much more important. Such as
You still need a good base life of fire Resistance because you're using it to cap your Lightning & Cold Resistance due to Tasalio, Cleansing Waters
Life
Life Regen
Life Regen Rate
Dexterity so you can level your Fire Trap
Chaos Resistance.
Bloodline
Trialmaster ---> Priest of Yaomac is an option for Vaal RF uptime
Velka ---> for Brinerot node
What gems should I quality first
Order is tricky, I do RF First & Shield Charge/Faster Attacks after that it's up to you.
- RF - This gets AoE
- Shield Charge & Faster Attacks (both give speed)
- Enduring Cry ( Faster warcry Speed )
- Any support gem that gives % Damage
- 1 Lifetap for the inc duration
Cloak of Flame. What stat is better?
Both fire res & ignite duration are good, I prefer ignite duration however, I don't neglect either of the stats.
tldr both are good
How to get Elder Helm/Shaper Shield in SSF?
Usually I'll focus on doing Dustructive Play (From your Atlas) To farm up Shaper/Elder Maps.
Then I'll maven witness and run through them. Make sure not to roll tanky mods like Concecrated Ground & Bring Frost Bomb to prevent maven from healing so much
You also get a bonus and you get to run the Maven Invitations
You can also grab the SYNTH map nodes from the atlas, I found them to be pretty good if you get lucky and roll the Influced mod on kill mobs. Other options would be
- Harvest - Reforge Influence 1K
Blue LifeforcePrimal Crystallised Lifeforce0.03cHarvest currency from blue crops, spent at Oshabi's bench on crafts such as reforging with a chosen influence. (you can farm other influence bases and swap) - Ritual Altars - Doing Guardians and other Influnced maps with Ritual can allow you to fight the boss multiple times so you get more influenced drops.
- Scarabs - Use your elder/shaper scarabs when running maps to hope for some drops occasionally
How to get Cloak of Flame for SSF
- Level 18-19 Character to Gamble bases from Faustus (prob 500k-1.5m gold? idk)
- Level 18-19 Character, get a body card set and turn it in on the low lvl character and ancient orb till cloak
- Geneis Tree, Focusing on INT Body Armour
- Blasting maps and getting lucky with a nameless seer, Betrayal spam for drop multiple uniques
- Remember you can Force 6 socket even on low Item level by using the crafting bench.
How to search for Timeless Jewel / Brutal Restraint
Here's a video on how to search for the correct mods
CWS Cast When Stunned
I don't know too much about this Variation. Go check out this content creator https://www.youtube.com/@HolyFkingShit
What is a Mule and do I have to make one?
Muling is the concept of playing another class (for like 10 minutes) To get some gems your previous class does not have. It also comes with the Advantage of a second quicksilver & potentially more gear.
What mods on Jewels should I look for?
You should go for a combation of the Following. Note some will be much more Espensive so play around with the mods
Prefix
Life
Fire Damage
Suffix
Increased Damage
Fire Damage Over Time Multipler
Damage over time Multipler
Area Damage
Burning Damage
Chaos Resistance
Dexterity

How to setup Hateful Accuser and what does it do?
Hateful Accuser is a ring you can use to trigger Penance mark. It's used to create monsters on boss fights to hope for a Hinekora Explosion. You can spawn 3 Phantasms every 1 Second
To set this up corretly you want 100% Ignite Chance & 2 Medium Clusters with Assert Dominance, If Possible also Towering Threat
The reason we focus on AoE Stacking is so no matter where the Phantasm spawns. It's in range to hit the boss with our Hinekora Explosion.
You want 100% Ignite Chance to guarentee the Ignite, also it's good to use Cloak of Flame for Ignite Duration, and Spec Ignite Duration on the Tree
I would also Recommend running Vaal Righteous Fire Here because we drop Fire Trap, Vaal RF Can help deal with rares or if the phantasms spawn in a weird spot
To trigger the hit required every second for Penance Mark I plan on using Shield Charge with Resolute Technique + Pyre Support OR you can go with Level 1 Cast when Damage taken + Storm brand & purifying flame. Make sure to Lifetap them.
What is the Regex you use for the Campaign?
Melee Lvling Regex --> -\w-.-|-\w-|Runn|rint|s:.+ax
(Mainly for 2H Axe / links)
Library Regex ---> "^fire t|male|^trap a|^effi|^elemental f|^burning da|^swift af|bots$|busti|rmag|mabi|tap"
How good is Nebulis
Nebulis drops from Uber Cortex so you're most likely going to end up purchasing one
Nebulis is an insane mid/late game weapon that gives up to 360% Elemental Damage. I would Recommend 90% Max Res before running it, although 88 works as well.
This is on par with endgame RF Scepters. It should lose to mirror tier weapons and maybe extremely high budget like +2 /w 40% dot multi. You can POB to figure out what's better
Even without a good implicit it can still give 360% Ele damage and is worth, especially for those who don't like to craft
Good Implicits would be anything that scales RF/FT some examples below
- Fire Damage
- Elemental Damage
- Chance to Ignite
- Ignite Speed / Damage ailments faster
- Damage per Endurance Charge
- Fire Damage over time Multiplier
- Damage over time Multiplier
- You and nearby allies deal % increased damage
- Burning Damage
How to Craft a cogwork ring
Here's a video on how I crafted it. It's extremely expensive and the market changes A LOT.

Searing Bond of Detonation
This skill beats fire trap until trap and mine damage helmet. You should be able to use same elder helmet as fire trap until then
If you want to use it I recommend the following links
- Searing bond of Detonation
- Multi Totem
- Lifetap
- Controlled Destruction
- You can drop multi totem in favor of another damage link but it feels too clinky to me
I would also try to roll totem placement speed on your Amulet or Boots, you can also take the 3 point nodes Shamanistic Fury although I don't like that approach.
When you're at the malevolence swap in the PoB you can also ditch the small cluster and drop skitterbot and gain points back + jewel to be more tanky. For this reason I like the totem for juicing
